June 28

We are getting accustomed to life in an RV.

There are “things” stashed everywhere. If you want to get out the colander, for example, you need to first remove the coffee pot, then the soup pot, then the two bowls, then finally the colander. Everything has its place. I’m pleased that the girls have been helping - they have been on clean-up duty for breakfast and lunch.

Lenny’s first day of internet was kneeling on the floor of the reception, using the office computer line. Tonight he’ll access the internet in the laundry room. Internet in the Laundry Room. Sounds like a good book title, doesn’t it?

One strange thing about the RV is that if anybody moves, the RV shakes ever so slightly. At first I thought Lenny was causing, but then I realized that even if Grace or Marina turned over, I would feel it in the back. Almost like being on a boat (although not quite as bad, Michael).

Today we drove through some spectacular country. There were at least three big valleys with huge vistas. There are large bales of hay stacked everywhere - seems to be the major output of the region. We’re at relatively high altitude, 5000 feet, but it isn’t too tough on us.

Now we’re settled into the RV park for the evening. Last night’s RV park included several goats and very large rabbits, whereas this one seems to be populated with thousands of gophers. See all kinds of wildlife on this trip, eh?
